Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager role at IPS, based in Montes Claros, Brazil. You will manage and coordinate technology functions and oversee manpower and technical resources for project design development and support. You will work on multiple projects as assigned by the Department Director.

• Assess project requirements, break projects into tasks, and coordinate with the Project Manager to determine scope of work, budget, and staffing.
• Write the scope of work for mechanical/process/electrical/plumbing design based on preliminary review and client meetings. User Requirement Specification.
• Assist in the assignment of team personnel to provide engineering and technical support.
• Determine personnel with the most appropriate qualifications.
• Prepare manpower and cost estimates for team resources as required.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the team's work according to IPS standards, procedures, codes, and project schedules; provide training and guidance.
• Work with code officials and other design professionals when interpreting or requesting exceptions to industry codes.
• Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems.
• Check progress of work and alert Project Managers of scope changes or requests for additional services.
• Manage personnel functions including employee development, performance appraisal, delivery dates, and quality.
• Plan and schedule work for the team to ensure proper distribution of assignments, manpower, space, and facilities for project performance.
• Evaluate and initiate necessary training for assigned team members to ensure technical competence, communication skills, and leadership development.
• Support the Department Director in maintaining a Training Log for each employee and provide training recommendations.
• Assist in the development and approval of IPS departmental policies, technical standards and procedures; coordinate divisional and inter-departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Prepare regular and special reports and analyses, highlighting progress, adverse trends, and recommendations.
• Participate in the preparation and delivery of project deliverables presentations.

• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, food, or animal care projects.
• Experience in BIM modeling.
• Multidisciplinary management experience.
• Fluent in Portuguese & English.
• Based in São Paulo, with mobility to travel when necessary.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
