Business Communications Manager for WhatsApp in Latin America

We are seeking a seasoned Communications Manager to lead our business messaging communications efforts in Latin America. With millions of small businesses relying on WhatsApp globally, we're witnessing a significant shift in consumer behavior, making us the preferred way for larger organizations to interact with customers. This role will focus on developing and sharing compelling stories to raise awareness about this trend.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute data-driven communications strategies for business messaging topics across Latin America, leveraging media relations and social channels.
  2. Collaborate with global Business Communications teams and local Sales and Partnerships stakeholders to design and deliver communications campaigns that support Meta's strategic objectives.
  3. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales and Marketing, and the global Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  4. Counsel internal stakeholders on media engagement strategy and social channel utilization.
Key Requirements
  1. At least 7 years of experience in communications for a technology company, B2B enterprise, or agency.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.
  3. Demonstrated ability to distill complex business concepts into clear, concise language for non-expert audiences.
  4. Experience creating messaging materials and collaborating with third-party partners.
  5. Proven track record in media relations and social channel management.
  6. Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working on global media campaigns and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  2. Background in developing enterprise and business-to-business narratives.
  3. Able to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  4. Demonstrated success in high-pressure environments, with strong judgment and negotiation skills.
  5. Basic working proficiency in Spanish.
