Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer reporting to Integrated Modular Avionics Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.

The Mid-career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer will join the Global Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) team to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Participation on development of complex electronic systems, analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, and demonstrating compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements.

• Translate concepts and high-level requirements into specific architectures and operational specifications, and integrate avionics systems and components into complex airplanes.
• Work with a worldwide team to implement system hardware and software.
• Verify system designs at the component, system and airplane levels.
• Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and in-service support.
• Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
• Lead testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Address issues and provide support for fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle.
• Research technology advances for potential application to business needs and make recommendations for technology investments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communications in English.
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the engineering and agronomy and regional council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

• Experience as a system engineer throughout the systems development process (requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation).
• Experience with requirement management tools (DOORS or similar).
• Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics and related standards like DO-297 and ARP 4754, ARP 4761.
• Experience with commercial airplane certification, audits and design review activities.
• Experience with Model Based Engineering Design/Analysis using advanced Modelling & Simulation and Tools & Process development.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Location / Employment Details: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Language Requirements: English preferred.

Education: Bachelor\'s Degree or Equivalent Required.
