Lead Accountant Job Description The role of a Lead Accountant involves overseeing and coordinating the administrative and financial activities of an organization. This includes ensuring efficient resource use, compliance with accounting, tax, and legal obligations, and generating reliable information for decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Manage bank accounts by receiving, reviewing, and processing invoice payments, monitoring cash balances, and preparing bank reconciliations. Maintain accurate customer and supplier data, request third-party assessments through the Compliance platform, and ensure timely updates. Review and release customer orders, request credit line approvals, and control customer credit lines to optimize financial performance. Perform monthly inventory closing, participate in physical inventory control committees, and record adjustments resulting from physical inventory counts. Oversee recorded fixed assets, manage lease agreements, and review monthly depreciation to ensure accurate financial reporting. Calculate sales commissions payable, review payroll processed by the accounting outsourcing company, and monitor health contributions and social benefits. Provide support for proper recording of accounting transactions, validate exchange rate controls, coordinate closing and opening of accounting periods, and manage accounting structures and taxes.
