IT Communication Strategist

As a key player in our IT team, you will play a vital role in managing and enhancing the communication channels within the department and between IT and other teams. You will create and implement effective communication strategies to promote clarity and efficiency in the dissemination of information. Additionally, you will translate complex technical aspects into content that is easy for users to understand. Key Responsibilities: Content Development: Develop and maintain IT communication materials, such as technical documentation, user manuals, FAQs, and newsletters. Project Management and Leadership: Lead projects and communication initiatives from planning to execution and evaluation. Manage a team of junior communication specialists. Strategy and Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies. Conduct regular systems audits and user feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement in communication tools. Technical Support and Tools: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for communication tools, ensuring minimal downtime. Use communication tools such as SharePoint, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Coordination and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the IT department and other departments. Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of information. Essential Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT communications or a related field. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Communication, or a related field. Tool Proficiency: Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and document management systems. Ability to use graphic design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite. Languages: English and/or French are considered an asset.
