DAO (Data & Analytics Office): Responsible for ensuring the management of Data Quality Activities, Data Governance, Data Controls, leadership in Data Management implementation and sustainability, business/support functions data analysis and dashboard preparation.
DAO must assure Compliance with Group data policies, standards, organization, and enforcement of concepts. The DAO also oversees and reports on data metrics.
DAO must determine the company's current data quality and maturity levels, reporting it on a consistent basis, building business performance dashboards. It provides timely information and insights that enable employees to improve decisions, optimize processes and plans, and work proactively.
DAO must determine and enforce specific security and privacy requirements for each piece of data - especially as it relates to privacy laws, industry regulations, and corporate compliance mandates.
In light of LGPD, the DAO is expected to work closely to DPO (Data Protection Officer) to secure the correct execution of the operational activities required by the Regulation and manage all privacy procedures performed by HSBC. The responsibilities are:
- Ensuring the operation and updating of privacy processes;
- Manage the retention of documents containing personal data processed by HSBC;
- Validate the execution of impact assessments (DPIA), Privacy by Design and Maturity Assessment of third parties with a privacy requirement.
It´s also expected from DAO to manage jointly with Compliance and Legal Teams the internal process related to DataVisa/DTCS and Res.4893 (former 4658 - BR Central Bank regulation about data offshoring); and to be engaged with IT in the Cloud Computing discussions/implementations involving HBBZ.
Requirements
- Degree in Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related field;
- Strong prior experience in a data analyst, or data management, or data governance role within data management activities.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record of successfully Data Management
- Ability to engage others to a common objective (company goal);
- Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands-on when required;
- English proficiency;
- Spanish proficiency is desirable, but not a mandatory requirement.
