Accounts Payable Specialist New Brazil

The Accounts Payable Specialist, who will be part of the Finance division, will be responsible for the administration and recording of expenses (overhead, employee expenses, reimbursements, and credit card reconciliation) as well as the administration of supplier master data.

Accounts Payable Lead

• At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable in Brazil.
• Proven expertise in processing and performing the accounting registration for local payment methods, including Boleto Bancário and PIX.
• Experience with other Latin American countries is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Brazilian tax requirements applicable to bill payments, including knowledge of withholding taxes (e.g., IRRF, PIS/COFINS, ISS).
• Experience with NetSuite and/or other ERP systems.
• Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
• Strong aptitude for numbers and computations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
• Organized and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks effectively.
• An agile and efficient work ethic with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written form (English).
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the company's core values.
• Service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

• Ensure all accounts payable policies and procedures are adhered to including travel and related expenses, mainly in Brazil and Latin American entities.
• Improve and continue accounts payable policies.
• Maintain accounts payable files.
• Review of tax requirements.
• Weekly payments schedule.
• Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts.
• Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and timely, including month-end closing, audits, and other requests.
• Maintaining constant and strong communication with the treasury and planning teams to ensure the veracity of accounting and financial information.
• Working hand in hand with the company’s Treasurer to report weekly and monthly the expenses detailed by the cost center and tribes.
• Reconciliation and integration of accounts payable balances (by name and age).
• Credit card reconciliation (by name and age).
• Assist with audits by providing supporting records and documentation.
