Tax Specialist

**Hybrid**:This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu)
We are looking for a Tax Specialist to join our Tax Planning & Consulting team, playing a key role in strategic projects and supporting GM's main business areas within the tax environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the implementation of the Brazilian VAT tax reform
- Lead initiatives to optimize tax burden and/or cash flow
- Identify tax opportunities and support efficiency projects
- Prepare and manage administrative claims related to tax incentives and special regimes
- Analyze tax legislation, anticipate and communicate business impacts
- Act as the interface between GM and third parties that support tax projects (consultancy and law firms)
- Provide support to the tax litigation team on audits, administrative and judicial proceedings
- Collaborate in cross-functional projects.
**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)**
- Bachelor's degree in Law or Accounting;
- Active OAB or CRC
- Proven experience in tax planning, consulting
- Strong knowledge of indirect taxes and good understanding of direct taxes;
- In-depth knowledge of the Brazilian VAT tax reform (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS and ISS);
- Advanced English to communicate with global stakeholders
