Key Responsibilities To detect, identify and sign young upcoming talents and professional icons of adidas, with responsibility for players across the state of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). To become a key contact in the world of football in Rio de Janeiro by providing excellence of servicing and product supply. To provide an integrated approach to securing the best young football talents from a young age and establish adidas as the desirable brand for players and professionals alike. To create a network in the world of football among players, coaches, agents etc. To work within the adidas Football Player Management team and contribute to the global football strategy by bringing local expertise and information. To utilise industry knowledge always providing feedback to the brand: player info, competitor activity, product feedback. To manage all administrative tasks ensuring efficient operation of the Brazil Sports Marketing team (Asset Management System, invoice tracking, competition calendar maintenance etc.). Proactively optimise service levels through collaboration with Sports Marketing Specialist team to ensure timely and accurate product seeding. Attending to the needs of our contracted symbols by checking availability and processing product requests through credit cards, SAP and/or arranging store visits. Key Relationships Football Player Management Team (Brazil and Global), including Player Managers, Scouting Managers, Global Scouting Director and other Territory Directors. Football BU functions, including Brand Marketing, CTC, Athlete Services. Sports Marketing Operations. Newsroom (player publishing), PR & Brand Communications. Finance, Legal and other internal support functions. External: consultants, players, agents, families, clubs, football industry network. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities The individual must be highly motivated and focused on task in hand. He or she must be extremely well organised with an empathy towards the sport. Football background, e.g. as a player on a high level and/or coaching/employee in the industry. Football fanatic. Needs to have both football knowledge and business mindset. Schedule flexibility: Position requires substantial travel for meetings with players, families, agents, clubs and attendance at matches/tournaments. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications Good planning & organisation. Product knowledge. Good interpersonal skills. Good communication‑verbal and written skills. Proficiency with computers and standard software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Football market and industry awareness. Football sport knowledge. Commercial awareness, knowledge of the sporting goods business model. Good negotiation skills. Good network and reputation in the world of football. Understanding of the issues facing players (e.g. financial, media, relocation, languages, etc.) and the ability to help adidas develop programmes to assist players with these issues.
