Finance Director

Mid-sized multinational manufacturing B2B company, with offices in Cotia (São Paulo).

Provide direction for and perform oversight of:

• the General Accounting function
• the Customer Credit and Collection function
• the Cost Accounting function
• the financial planning and analysis process
• The reinforcement of the Group Governing Documents in support of company objectives

Lead the sub-regional Finance and Accounting organization:

• Responsible for the accurate representation of the sub-regional finance position
• Implementation and control of all accounting policies and procedures, including those of the group as well
• as sub-regional requirements
• Preparation of all internal and external reports accurately and on time
• Hands-on role in which the candidate must feel comfortable developing analyses based on data generated or provided, identifying the drivers of results, and creating standard reports to be used in regular meetings with corporate HQ
• Direct the administration of key business systems within the area of responsibility
• Ensures, promotes, and reinforces compliance with laws, including but not limited to tax law, financial regulation, export sanctions, and labor law.
• Provides leadership and guidance necessary to meet established sub-regional financial targets by communicating, collaborating, coaching, and partnering with key stakeholders
• Drives OWC by managing financial information effectively and influencing core teams
• Interacts promptly with senior management and the Vice President & Global CFO to ensure operations stay on track and under control, providing relevant insights to drive action.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Directs or prepares sub-regional financial reports as per Group requirements, including:

• Weekly: A/R & A/P Aging, Flash Reports, Payroll Reports, Revenue Updates
• Monthly: Financial Statements, Forecast Key Statistics Report, Cash Flow
• Quarterly: FCST review
• Annual/Pluriannual: FRCST Zero (annual budget), 3-Year Plan

• Demonstrates the ability to effectively partner with and collaborate with others to achieve the subregional performance goals
• Maintains strong adherence to Corporate Governance and organizational values
• Demonstrated ability to develop and retain team members
• Ability to work and manage effectively in matrix reporting structures
• Ability to analyze and understand complex business problems
• Ability to perform under pressure and accommodate tight deadlines
• Solid financial acumen
• Possesses a structured and organized mindset and approach
• College graduate with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance and/or Business Administration, or equivalent
• Education considered relevant to the position. A Master\'s or a CPA is a must
• 10+ years of management experience in senior financial roles such as VP Finance, Group Controller, Finance Director
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Local GAAP and IFRS knowledge
• Knowledge of local tax law and applicable laws to the business
• Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel, as well as proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
• Extensive experience using ERP and MRP systems
• Travel up to 25%, using the cheapest options available
• Manufacturing/operations background and experience required
• Advanced English competence
