Overview Responsibilities
  • Driving technical solutions that directly impact enterprise organizations through performance, scalability, security, and quality.
  • Leading the technical aspects of design, development, testing, and implementation of highly scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with Empower's business, technology and architecture strategies.
  • Developing and/or configuring advanced functionality across all enterprise Salesforce clouds (Visualforce, Apex, Process Builder, Workflow rules, Validation Rules, Advanced Formulas).
  • Supporting cross-system integrations across the Salesforce ecosystem and other cloud technologies including AWS.
  • Collaborating with other software developers and architects to improve development processes and code base.
  • Responding to evolving security conditions and applying Empower's security controls in design and code implementations.
  • Improving application resiliency through better design and coding practices.
  • Developing technical perspectives, standards, solutions, and strategies that add value to the customer experience while reducing technical complexity.
  • Generating innovative ideas, prototypes, and proofs of concept; documenting solution designs clearly for delivery teams to size the effort.
  • Driving long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity, scalability, resiliency, and maintainability as core principles.
  • Delivering value through collaboration across geographically dispersed teams and contributing to best practices, standards, and coaching of technology team members.
  • Keeping up-to-date with new technologies and maintaining excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding integration frameworks, REST & SOAP API-based integrations, and Salesforce OOTB functionalities (OWD, sharing settings, object and API limits, profiles and permission sets, flows, validation rules).
  • Working with SOQL/SOSL/Data Loader and data mapping; knowledge of Salesforce best practices, governor limits, and identity management with connected apps.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service Lightning (FSL) and middleware tools (e.g., Dell Boomi, Informatica, MuleSoft).
  • Working with code repositories (GitHub, Visual Studio, SVN) and CI/CD tools (ANT, Metadata API, SFDX, Copado, Flosum, AutoRABIT).
Qualifications
  • Object-oriented programming with Java or Python (8 years).
  • Software development for enterprise systems (8 years).
  • Salesforce implementation and development (8 years).
  • Enterprise-level Salesforce projects using SF Agile tools (e.g., SF Agile Accelerator, SF Jira Connectors, SF Rally, ServiceNow) (8 years).
  • Architecture and development of Salesforce solutions using Salesforce, Classic, Lightning, Visualforce, Apex, Java services and integration techniques (8 years).
  • Experience with Sales Cloud or Service Cloud or FSL (8 years).
    • Critical certifications: Certified SFDC Administrator, Certified Platform Developer I, Certified Platform Developer II (must have). Certifications in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, MuleSoft, Copado are nice to have.
