Mid-career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer Join to apply for the Mid-career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer role at Boeing in São José dos Campos, Brazil. This position is part of the Global Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) team and supports the development and certification of transport‑category airplanes. Job Summary As an Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer, you will translate high‑level requirements into system architectures, design avionics hardware and software, and validate integration of complex electronic systems into aircraft. You will work collaboratively with a worldwide team on system hardware, software, and operational specifications from concept through certification, delivery, and in‑service support. Position Responsibilities Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs along with interface specifications. Lead work to test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional compliance. Monitor supplier performance to guarantee system integration and compliance with all requirements. Problem‑solve across the entire product lifecycle and provide fielded hardware and software support. Research technology advancements for potential application, and recommend technology investments. Basic Qualifications (Required) Must have existing rights to work in Brazil. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering. Proficient in verbal and written communication in English. Must be registered or eligible to register with the Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia (CREA). Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Experience as a systems engineer throughout the systems development process (requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation). Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS. Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics and related standards (DO‑297, ARP‑4754, ARP‑4761). Experience with commercial airplane certification, audits, and design review activities. Experience with Model‑Based Engineering Design/Analysis using advanced modeling, simulation, and tools/process development. Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits & Compensation Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
