The Senior Manager, IBX Facility Operations manages supervisors, managers, and multiple IBX sites. Leads in project management and incident resolution.
**What you will be doing**
- Manages supervisors and managers;
- Manages team to work safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance;
- Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development;
- Overall site and/or multi-site capacity management;
- Plans, coordinates, approves budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the Data Center;
- Manages the team to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, (KPI's) Keky Performance Indicators and (SLA's) Service Level Agreements;
- Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete;
- Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure;
- Approves all (MOP) Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts and permits;
- Participates as part of the new facility/infrastructure design team;
- Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during a complex or severe customer-impacting incident;
- Drives root cause analysis and provides a clear direction;
- Drives approval for incident resolution;
- Provides the team with technical support and advice on complex escalations;
- Acts as (SME) Subject Matter Expert and leads team members' training;
- Reviews specialist contractual reports and activities;
- Reviews and analyzes key reports from vendors as part of RCA investigation;
- Oversees the sites in the maintenance and up keeping of all IBX infrastructure according to Equinix global standards;
- Makes recommendations based on knowledge;
- Oversees that all repairs performed on all IBX infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices;
- Leads root cause analysis and repair of failed components;
- Makes recommendations for eliminating potential problems;
- Liaises with regional and/or global construction or design teams on design changes;
- Completion of site logs and issuing of permits, such as MOPs and scripts;
- Leads others with work requests and circuit installations;
- Performs capacity management.
**What we’ll expect from you**
- Bachelors degree in Engineering;
- Proven track record managing a critical mission operation, especially in data center environment;
- Strong leadership and people management skills;
- Strong experience managing vendors and cross functional teams;
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English is mandatory with strong presentation and facilitation skills; Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Highly organized, with attention to detail and a dedication to resolving issues.
