Category and Project Procurement Lead

The Category and Project Procurement Lead will provide Strategic Sourcing leadership for their assigned system categories. You will work to develop and execute category strategies to enable growth, increase margin, reduce costs, and rationalize the supply base. You will be a key member of an exciting new procurement team - driving our business forwards.
The Category and Project Procurement Lead will be responsible for:
- Negotiating price, capacity, payment terms, supplier chargebacks, etc. with suppliers.
- Leading and coordinating top suppliers monthly/quarterly meetings to drive increased performance, continuous improvement and global alignment.
- Taking ownership of sourcing strategies throughout the lifecycle of pursuit phases of projects, whilst utilizing market intel to evaluate appropriate category strategies.
- Supporting ITO (inquiry to order) with qualified supplier selection, competitive quoting and award justification and delivering handover packages from ITO to OTR sourcing team on contract award
- Driving initiatives such as payment terms improvement, material cost out, sole source mitigation, lead time reduction and on-time delivery improvement.
- Engaging with key stakeholders and functions to ensure key input is provided to enable optimized sourcing solution and high costing confidence
- Partnering with commodity leads to drive vendor engagement continually throughout the bid to execute process through collaboration rooms, cost out, productivity and product structuring initiatives

- Have considerable experience in an all encompassing procurement role
- Have experience of working within a category management capacity
- Have some experience of project management, or managing procurement for specific projects within a manufacturing setting
- Be driven to succeed and enhance company culture and procurement practices
