The Sr BackEnd Engineer will work with a team of talented engineers to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and security of Bunge’s backend services. This senior-level role requires advanced technical expertise in backend technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to provide technical guidance to other team members as well as oversee/validate outcomes delivered by contracted vendors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about building reliable and efficient backend services that drive the company\'s digital initiatives. Essential Functions Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and APIs using industry-standard frameworks. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members. Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, and implement solutions to resolve them. Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and best practices, and share knowledge with the team. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and codebase. Ensure that backend systems are optimized for performance and scalability. Guide teammates on developing efficient and secure backend components Establish and promote best practices, standards and guidelines related to back-end engineering for Bunge technology products. Establishes standards, best practices and guidelines for other developers for increased quality of delivery and compliance with internal policies. Management/Leadership Manages operational plans. May participate with comparable influence in large projects and initiatives. Provides leadership to professionals and support staff. Contributes to short- to mid-term talent optimization plans to execute strategies within their job area. Guides delivery teams on best practices, standards and approach to solving problems. Leading implementation of established best practices, standards and guidelines in own area. Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal) Internal: Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, Database Administrators. Architects. External: Technology Vendors, Cloud Providers. Knowledge and Technical Competencies Strong proficiency SalesForce backend programming, including Apex, with ability to write complex Apex code for custom logic and triggers Understanding of Lightning Web Components Experience with building RESTful and SOAP APIs. Deep understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud standard data models Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns. Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (including Unit Testing and Debugging, CI/CD pipeline with automated testing). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Education/Experience Typically Bachelor's degree with 6 - 10 years of position related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience level. Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge (know as reference) of related disciplines. Experience with working in agile projects.
