The Judge Group is seeking a Production Superintendent for a manufacturing company located in the Greenville, AL area.
Title: Production Superintendent (Green End)Location: Greenville, ALSalary: $100,000 - $140,000Relo: YES
Responsibilities:• Collaborate with management to set production and quality control standards.• Develop budgets and cost controls, and gather data on product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.• Plan and oversee production activities, establishing priorities to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.• Coordinate production with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize the use of human resources, machinery, and equipment.• Review and analyze reports on production, quality control, maintenance, and operations to identify and address nonconformities and production issues.• Develop and implement procedures to eliminate operational problems and enhance product quality.• Adjust production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operational issues.• Consult with engineering personnel to modify machinery and equipment for improved production and product quality.• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in the sawmill.• Oversee hydraulic unit and drain inspections.• Supervise sawmill, saw filers, log deck, and log yard employees as directed.
Qualifications:• 5-10 years of experience in wood products manufacturing at a supervisory or superintendent level.• Proven leadership skills, with a track record of achieving goals and managing safety performance.• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation abilities.• Solid knowledge of performance management and continuous improvement processes.• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and team-building skills.• Strong understanding of optimization equipment and processes.• Organizational skills with the ability to lead change initiatives.• A background in maintenance is considered an asset.
