As an Internal Audit Specialist , your mission will be to partner with business areas to enhance the control environment and contribute to EBANX's success. You'll collaborate with teams to identify risks, assess processes, and provide recommendations that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. You will also be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the Internal Audit Senior Manager in developing, implementing, and enhancing the internal audit function;
  2. Assisting with the development of the annual risk-based internal audit plan;
  3. Defining the scope of audit engagements and preparing detailed audit programs to achieve audit objectives;
  4. Conducting internal audits in accordance with professional standards and the EBANX Global Internal Audit Manual, including: understanding the process under scope, performing walkthroughs, identifying and evaluating risks and controls, developing audit programs and performing data analysis, assessing the design and operational effectiveness of controls, evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying issues and opportunities for improvement and discussing them with the auditee area;
  5. Providing clear, sufficient, and well-documented evidence to support internal audit work, in accordance with internal audit methodology and professional standards;
  6. Preparing draft internal audit reports that clearly describe identified issues and opportunities for improvement, and discussing findings with auditees;
  7. Collaborating with the auditee area to perform root cause analysis, identify the underlying cause(s) of an issue, and provide recommendations and solutions to strengthen the control environment;
  8. Evaluating action plans proposed by auditees to ensure they effectively address risks and internal control deficiencies;
  9. Monitoring the implementation of action plans to ensure audit findings receive appropriate management attention and corrective action is implemented promptly;
  10. Collaborating on the development and improvement of internal audit processes, including creating automated routines.

Main requirements for this position:

  1. 5+ years of internal audit experience;
  2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, or postgraduate studies with a focus on internal audit;
  3. Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing and speaking) - It is the official language at EBANX;
  4. Strong understanding of The Institute of Internal Auditors' International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and internal audit best practices;
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Portuguese and English;
  6. Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills;
  7. Experience in presenting and conducting meetings;
  8. Critical and analytical thinking skills;
  9. Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization;
  10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

What else we would love to see?

  1. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other relevant certification;
  2. Experience in Big Four accounting firms or multinational companies as Internal Auditor;
  3. Knowledge of information security assessment standards and best practices, as well as information security-related laws and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, LGPD/ISO 27701, and other data privacy laws);
  4. Excellent Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
