Overview Senior Installation Engineer – Subsea7 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Responsibilities Assume responsibility for the scope of sub‑sea structure installation in large projects. Develop installation procedures, including engineering calculations and detailed method descriptions, independently and with minimal supervision. Execute engineering activities related to planning, mobilization, and offshore installation of underwater equipment and ancillary structures. Demonstrate knowledge of offshore lifting operations and interpretation of crane load curves. Plan, prepare, and approve test procedures and associated calculation sheets (lifting design, lift plans, equipment set‑up) in line with project priorities. Provide technical expertise in equipment and accessory acquisition, reporting progress in engineering meetings. Participate in vessel mobilization and offshore installation phases, validating technical solutions while respecting HSEQ directives and supporting the operational team. Ensure activities meet project requirements for quality, cost, and schedule. Prepare preliminary documents and studies for FEEDs, tenders, and projects developed by the team. Train and mentor less experienced engineers. Act as technical representative of Subsea7 in client, supplier, and contractor meetings. Identify and resolve project and technical issues, influencing ideal equipment and aid development. Sign and issue technical documentation as author or reviewer. Qualifications Degree in Naval, Mechanical, Civil or related engineering. Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in submarine installation or offshore activities. Proven experience in reviewing, guiding, and validating installation analysis reports; assessment of weather conditions during offshore operations. Autonomy, teamwork, coordination, and communication skills essential. Experience in lifting planning and execution is a plus. Fluency in English (written and oral).
