Fraser Health is embracing virtual methods to enhance patient care. This position provides entirely virtual clinical services. The Virtual Psychiatry Unit delivers acute Mental Health and Substance Use care to clients across the Fraser Health Region in a team-based, inter-professional care environment. Care is delivered to acute patients directly in their homes and through virtual channels. As a qualified or eligible Psychiatrist, you will deliver top-tier care to adult patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include consulting at the Virtual Psychiatry Unit and outreach to patients\' residences. Although the position provides fully remote clinical care (including virtual on-call), in-person attendance for occasional team meetings may be required. Services encompass assessment, outpatient treatment and consultation, conducting family meetings, organizing case conferences, discharge planning, and educating psychiatry residents and medical students. You will play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of care by fostering positive working relationships with all involved in patient care and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients.

• Provide fully remote clinical psychiatry services to adult patients, including on-call coverage.
• Consult at the Virtual Psychiatry Unit and engage in outreach to patients\' residences.
• Perform assessments, outpatient treatment and consultation; conduct family meetings; organize case conferences and discharge planning.
• Educate psychiatry residents and medical students.
• Foster continuity of care by building strong working relationships with all members of the care team and advocating for patients\' needs.
