We are looking for a highly talent individual, who would like to take the opportunity to join the DFS OBM LATAM team to overlook Outcome-based model / New Business Model team, together with Market Development and R&D functions. We have the challenge to shift the way we current sell to our customers by co-creating with them, sharing risks and creating great and innovative experiences. Our way of work is centralized in deeply collaborating with the customers, the business and bringing up Ideas that could potentially turn to a new business model, via test&learn. We work through agile methodology and you will have the chance to shape the way Ag business will be traded in the future.
**YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO**
The Ag Tech LEAD Provides in-depth understanding of agronomic demands and ensures we have an agronomic solution plan and deliverables to sustain new business models vision within Ventures. The ag tech lead will work dedicated with a single venture (either CP or Corn Seeds), with a double reporting line to MD leadership, ensuring full accountability and responsibility;
- Be the key connection with OBM to experts in each Science area;
- Lead working groups within Science teams local and within DFS to accelerate all initiatives based on Venture visions and requirements for development, incl. ideation, protocols, data capture, modeling, executions, vendor management, result and recommendation;
- Get alignment with Climate team to co create local solutions that will be able to scale up through Climate modeling team;
- Overall responsible to Lead and coordinate field trials to test product prototypes;
- Cost management of Technical Protocols and Follow up with Financial Team.
- Partner with Science teams to define scope, resource requirements, timelines and deliverables for each projected and identified project;
- Create roadmap on how to capture data enabling to develop digital solutions and models;
- Share Integrated Technical Proposals that can be digitalized for Venture;
- Analyze farmer pain points incl. underlying agronomic drivers;
- Determine and specify agronomic improvements achieved with our digital solutions;
- Give analytical and details insight on how to tackles roadblocks or challenges within test & lean;
- Support product sales via farmer awareness sessions on agronomic improvements achieved with digital solutions;
- Understand market analysis with current portfolio and to follow up competitors crop innovation;
- Actively involved in Startups prospection and researches centers, working on co-development projects related to scope of each Venture;
- Be the key point to communicate all initiatives, requirements, development and needs within LATAM Science teams.
**ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?**
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, data science, science/engineering or business related discipline;
- Relevant years of experience developing or deploying products in agriculture related industries. Additional experience in Sales is a plus;
- Experience in influence teams and managing technical projects;
- Ability to clearly communicate complex priorities to audiences of varying experiences;
- Great personal, analytical, communication, and attention to detail skills;
- Proven ability to influence at peer and leadership organizational levels;
- Ability to quickly acclimate on complex technical issues;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment, handling a variety of assignments and technologies;
- Experience working in an agile methodology development environment (NICE to have);
- Effectively challenge status quo, engage in problem solving, and frame strategic questions that elevates outcomes;
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills to onboard, motivate & engage others at all levels of the organization;
- Portuguese and English fluent;
- Spanish is a plus.
