**About our client**
You will work with a local Sydney new home builder established in 1994 with a vision to design and build new homes of quality and excellence.
**What are the daily tasks?**
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Maintaining historical records
- Paying vendors by scheduling paychecks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.
- Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
- Continuing to improve the payment process
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- Prepare month-end journals for Kurmond Group monthly accounts.
- Bank reconciliations of multiple accounts for multiple entities
- Prepare monthly BAS workings for Kurmond Homes & Trust entities.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts for multiple entities
- Fortnightly payroll processing & monthly commissions
- Prepare workings for payroll tax lodgment & other statutory reporting.
- Maintain a fixed asset register.
- Assist with weekly cash flow forecast.
- Supervise accounts receivable & accounts payable functions.
- Organize weekly payment runs for multiple entities.
- Managing and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly reporting pack.
- Assist in Year-End financial reporting, statutory compliance & lodgment.
- Assist with the annual financial audit.
- Coordinate with our external accountants on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Coordinate the implementation/update and monitoring of accounting and financial systems.

**Requirements**:
- Finance or Economics
- Business Studies
- Accounting
- 3 years’ experience as Assistant accountant /Accountant
- 2+ years accounts payable experience
- Previous experience or knowledge of Construction Industry not essential but highly regarded
