MagnaTerra is a global mining company specializing in bulk sampling projects targeting high-grade veins of gold, silver, and copper. Our mission is to identify and extract minerals through proprietary drilling and processing technology. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mining Engineer to advance partnerships and oversee project development.Position Overview:
The Mining Engineer will plan, execute, and optimize bulk sampling operations to assess the viability of high-grade vein deposits. This role requires expertise in mining methods, geological principles, and drilling campaigns.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, fluent in English, and capable of working independently in diverse environments. The position is remote, with occasional site visits to projects in Canada, Australia, Southern Africa, and Latin America.Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement bulk sampling programs for high-grade vein deposits.Lead and manage mining projects from conception to completion.Provide expert advice on mining methods and life-of-mine planning.Develop cost models and conduct financial analyses.Collaborate with various disciplines, including geotechnical, water, tailings, and environmental groups.Oversee drilling operations, ensuring data quality.Lead the setup and operation of concentrators for optimal mineral recovery.Collaborate with geologists to interpret data and assess deposit characteristics.Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining engineering.1-2 years of mine operations experience, such as project management or supervision.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of strategic planning and cost drivers in mining projects.Excellent knowledge of mining industry practices, regulations, and advancements.Proven track record of delivering results on schedule and within budget.Experience working effectively in senior management and multicultural environments.Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Willingness to travel internationally and work in remote locations (travel quarterly).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesMining#J-18808-Ljbffr
