What You'll Do

Avalara is a growing technology company that's changing the world of transactional tax compliance. We deliver comprehensive, cloud-based automation solutions that adapt to the global tax landscape. Avalara is looking for an experienced Paid Search Manager who is passionate about driving performance. As a Paid Search Manager, you'll manage paid search strategies across international markets, promoting our global suite of financial SaaS products. You'll partner with our teams to exceed growth and ROI targets through ongoing optimization of paid search campaigns that generate demand and revenue. You will report to the SR Manager of Paid Search. #LI-Remote

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Launch and optimize PPC campaigns on Google and Microsoft Ads
  • Manage budgets and adjust bid strategies to create new opportunities for sales and ensure positive ROI
  • Lead paid search account restructuring based on performance data and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on keyword selection, ad copy, and audience targeting
  • Coordinate with Sales Development teams to ensure they understand the intent and value of paid search leads, facilitating appointment setting
  • Work with web and SEO teams to improve landing page performance and other optimizations
  • Partner with marketing to develop paid search strategies that drive demand
  • Track KPIs, analyze performance data, and share insights with stakeholders
  • Maintain relationships with PPC platforms and vendors to leverage technology for growth
  • Identify and implement measures to reduce click fraud and wasted spend
  • Stay updated on PPC industry trends, technologies, and best practices, including AI integration
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
  • At least 5 years of experience managing PPC campaigns, preferably within B2B SaaS companies
  • Experience running international PPC campaigns across regions such as US, EMEA, and APAC
  • Proven success managing large budgets and exceeding goals related to spend, MQLs, revenue, and customer acquisition
  • Expertise in advanced bidding strategies, including offline conversions and bid automation
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing to extract actionable insights
  • Proficiency with analytics tools like Adobe Analytics and PowerBI
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Psychology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with SA360 (Google Marketing Platform suite)
