About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Tax Specialist to lead the company's financial and tax operations in Argentina. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, delivers accurate reporting, and supports strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Tax

  • Manage daily accounting tasks, including AP/AR, reconciliations, invoicing, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure timely and compliant tax filings (VAT, Income Tax, Gross Income, etc.).
  • Liaise with tax authorities (AFIP, AGIP, ARBA) and support internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to tax planning strategies and evaluate the tax impact of operations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Business Support

  • Provide financial insights to Sales, After-Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with regional and global finance teams, suppliers, and financial institutions.

Process Optimization

  • Help maintain internal financial controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) for accurate financial data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field. Local professional certification is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in accounting and tax-related roles. Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Argentinian tax and financial regulations.
  • Familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Languages

  • High-level proficiency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and time management.

Reporting Line

Reports to the Country Manager and the Regional Finance Director.
