Role Summary Role Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Rio Posting Start Date: 10/29/25 This position reports to the Maintenance Leader at the Rio Plant and is responsible for activities in the Mechanical Maintenance department, including maintenance on a variety of equipment, project execution, daily work/task guidance to mechanics to achieve department goals and targets, and supporting initiatives to reduce and control costs. Responsibilities Daily work/task guidance to mechanics Equipment troubleshooting Screen maintenance notifications, create work orders, plan and close work orders Create/Update daily and weekly schedules Assign work to execute scheduled and P1 works Ensure execution of scheduled PM and enter WO if immediate repair is needed Perform SES in SAP for services Participate in cross-functional teams doing FMECA analysis and review/validate equipment strategy Write job procedures for Job Packs and provide input on BoM, tools list, pass/fail criteria Review and accept final job packs Administrator of OIMS 6.2 or 6.4 Interface with Operations to define equipment availability for works in the weekly/daily schedule Generate 4-week look-ahead (high-level schedule), including PMs Support project development Support GME program, focusing on Root Cause Analyses (RCA) methodology to mechanical equipment and improvement actions Selection and specification of equipment and materials Any additional responsibilities as assigned Skills & Competencies You Will Gain Leadership skills through coordinating a team of mechanics Analytical skills through investigation of failures and root cause analysis Time management Prioritization Teamwork Communication Candidate Qualifications Mechanical Technician degree Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in a maintenance organization, including at least two years of supervisory experience Advanced English Excellent knowledge of pump types (positive displacement, centrifugal, scroll, pneumatic) and pump aligning (drive/gear box); good understanding of other crafts Technical and process competencies including safety and troubleshooting Good understanding of Operations Planning/scheduling skills Good relationship and interpersonal skills – ability to influence others Leadership, motivation, commitment and ownership Understanding of risk and risk assessment abilities / attitude Attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize Ability to work under pressure Knowledge of Brazilian regulations Problem-solving skills; teamwork and communication skills Job Function & Industry Job function: Management and Manufacturing Industry: Chemical Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
