Bruna Carvalho appointed to Managing Director, Brazil Share We are delighted to announce that Bruna Carvalho has been appointed to Managing Director, Brazil, effective immediately. Bruna joined Clarksons in September 2024 and is now firmly establishing Clarksons’ Deep-Sea Tanker desk in Rio de Janeiro. South America is becoming an increasingly significant market. Providing an on-the-ground presence in the region ensures Clarksons is well placed to support clients as the market and opportunity grows. Bruna’s 18-year career at Petrobras has afforded her a wealth of experience and leadership expertise. “Bruna has demonstrated impact since day one – she fits in well to the Clarksons culture, has contributed tremendously to the relaunch of Clarksons in Rio and has established herself as a strong leader. We are confident that her vision and drive will be instrumental in shaping the next exciting phase of our growth and success in the region, and that she will contribute hugely to the global management team at Clarksons.” Andi Case CEO “My first 9 months at Clarksons have been fantastic. I’ve had the opportunity to represent the business at global events, to connect and contribute towards internal networks within Clarksons, and together with the team have shaped our brand-new office space - I feel empowered and very proud to be part of this dynamic and forward-thinking business.” The Brazil office currently has 20 employees across four service lines – Deep Sea Tankers, Specialised Products, Dry Cargo and Offshore & Renewables. A special mention must go to Jens Behrendt who has laid very strong foundations in the running of the office to date and will continue to head up the region’s Offshore and Renewables desk. Last month, the team hosted a joint celebration with more than 500 clients at the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, to mark the new office opening in the centre of Rio, providing the space to scale and more than double headcount over the next couple of years. #J-18808-Ljbffr
