Purpose: The Global MedTech Privacy Leader will develop and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with senior leaders across global MedTech units, including MedTech Digital, Education, R&D, ISRM, IT, regulatory, legal, and compliance. This role is key to embedding privacy into the design and deployment of innovative MedTech solutions, including those leveraging AI, analytics, and digital platforms. As digital transformation accelerates, the privacy leader must proactively partner with regional teams to ensure privacy is a strategic enabler of trust and responsible innovation.

The candidate must interpret complex regulatory environments and translate them into actionable strategies supporting agility and innovation. This leader will ensure privacy considerations are integrated enterprise-wide and help shape the organization's stance on evolving privacy and data ethics standards in the global MedTech ecosystem.

As the owner of MedTech sector privacy within the Global Privacy Organization (GPO), this individual will collaborate with various leadership teams to develop and implement strategic plans for service delivery. The candidate can be based in any region but must be within commuting distance of a major Johnson & Johnson MedTech office or GLO hub, and will contribute to global projects regularly. Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Privacy Officer & Sectors VP, this role involves significant cross-regional collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing legal, compliance, and regulatory counsel and strategic advice to senior management on privacy issues.
• Developing and driving the global privacy vision and roadmap aligned with MedTech's goals and regulatory environment.
• Anticipating regulatory developments and industry trends to shape privacy strategy and MedTech readiness.
• Collaborating with GPO Leadership to develop the Global Privacy MedTech strategy.
• Representing GPO MedTech in Privacy & Data Protection Committee meetings and supporting updates to the Global Leadership Team.
• Supporting the Chief Privacy Officer and GLO MedTech Leadership in strategic initiatives.
• Serving as a primary contact for privacy matters across global MedTech units, connecting corporate strategy with regional implementation.
• Innovating compliance methods and acting as a privacy authority.
• Partnering with GPO Operations on privacy requirements, architecture, governance, and use case specifications.
• Aligning global strategy with regional goals, identifying key components for privacy program enhancements, and monitoring related activities.
• Driving sector projects, enterprise risk management, and compliance audits in MedTech.
• Leading meetings, championing a privacy-by-design culture, and advocating for ethical data use.
• Participating in industry events, thought leadership, benchmarking, and external environment shaping.
• Building trusted relationships with senior leaders and supporting training and compliance activities.
• Mentoring colleagues and fostering a purpose-driven environment aligned with Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience required.
• Experience with privacy aspects of innovative technology projects.
• Experience in global or regional privacy roles managing stakeholder relationships.
• Strong knowledge of global data privacy laws and frameworks.
• Self-motivated, with high integrity and resilience.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into business language.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Proven leadership in complex organizations, experience in MedTech preferred.
• IAPP Privacy certification preferred (CIPP/CIPM/CIPT).
