Position Overview As a Network Engineering member in the Voice and Services functional area, you will be responsible for proposing, analyzing, and defining the requirements for new and existing services and systems related to the voice systems under the responsibility of the functional area. You will prepare, design, test, and provide new solutions or product changes to the existing portfolio and support the technology evolution roadmap for the systems under the functional area. Participation and support of other functional areas on cross‑functional projects are also part of the role. We are open to hiring for this position in São Paulo, Brazil. The successful candidate will receive onboarding and training in Lisbon. Fluency in English is essential. Key Responsibilities Collaboration with other Networks teams in defining and managing projects for delivery of new solutions. Project delivery, network design, integration, and migration strategy definition. Responsible for end‑to‑end delivery. Design of new consumer and corporate telecom solutions. Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs, WOs, etc.) throughout the lifecycle. Implementation in live environment; understanding of end‑to‑end system testing requirements. Follow‑up and definition of quality and performance indicators. Capacity and performance analysis, reporting, and improvement solution definition. Service and resource configuration definition and implementation on requested systems. Work on complex solutions that influence current product design and address future product or technology issues. Maintain close relationships with external partners such as carriers and service providers. Elaborate and manage the process for change requests to current partners to meet network necessities. Control the network elements roadmap, ensuring necessary software/hardware upgrades during the component lifecycle. Generate and implement process improvements, including cross‑team processes. Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements or alternatives. Requirements Must Have Proven experience implementing live solutions on mobile telecom networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS). Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications. Experience designing, testing, and operating NGN‑based networks, including MSS/MGW, HLR/HSS, SBC. Experience defining, establishing, and maintaining SIP/RTP‑based voice interconnects. Understanding of IMS architecture, VoIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi, QoS. Experience with SMS service configuration and routing. Knowledge of IMS nodes (P/S/I‑CSCF, Application Servers). Knowledge of IMS protocol interfaces (Gm, ISC, Sh, Cx, SOAP/XML, etc.). Experience in mobile services charging, including offline/online OCS, Ro, Ro+, Ga, Bp interfaces. Knowledge of Diameter/SCTP networks and protocols. Knowledge of signalling gateways and protocols, including SS7, SIGTRAN, MAP, CAMEL. Experience using protocol analyser tools such as Wireshark, Astelia. Experience with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions. Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s). English proficiency mandatory; other languages a plus. Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have +3 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks. Previous experience with Nokia, Oracle, and Ribbon IMS products.
