SAP Basis Specialist Job Description SAP Basis Specialists play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless system uptime and operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain process compliance. Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and development. Handle tickets efficiently, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot technical issues with expertise. Lead installation, configuration, migration, and upgrade activities, driving system enhancements and growth. Define and enforce operational processes, promoting standardization and best practices. Maximize system uptime by managing BASIS activities proactively and effectively. Collaborate with functional teams on cutover strategies and post-implementation support, ensuring smooth transitions. Technical Expertise: Proven experience in SAP server installation/configuration, including ABAP, Java, and ABAP+Java stacks. High Availability setup skills, covering Unix/Windows environments. Strong background in SAP BASIS server administration and RCA for escalated issues. Kickstart environment setup and maintenance expertise. End-to-end SAP lifecycle implementations for global clients, showcasing expertise in the entire SAP life cycle. Proficiency in SAP version and EHP upgrades, ensuring systems remain up-to-date and efficient. Performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting across application, database, and operating system layers. Deep understanding of NetWeaver components, including EP, PI, BI, ECC, CRM, SRM, SolMan, TREX, and MDM. Oracle DB, BRTools, SAP HANA DB, Sybase ASE, and Linux/Windows administration skills. Excellent English language proficiency, with advanced communication and documentation skills. Key Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong documentation and MS Office abilities. Customer-centric mindset, coupled with high adaptability and the ability to manage unforeseen situations. Ability to drive value and achieve results in fast-paced environments.
