Accelerate your career as a Commercial Leader in the Latin American region for the fast-growing Nexus Controls business in Baker Hughes - Digital Solutions. This position offers those with a strong commercial and business background a chance to use their established leadership skills to transform/grow this Commercial Operations team.**As a Nexus Controls LATAM Commercial Leader, you will be responsible for**:- Working with External Sales team and other function leaders to sustain our current markets and grow into our new Industrial markets.- Functional Leading of Nexus Controls support team to implement transaction strategy for large projects -Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Project Management, etc.- Functional Leading a Latin American team of Commercial Application Engineers in developing winning proposals driven by customer’s requests for quotes.- Providing primary interface with customers and Commercial Application Engineers while negotiating Commercial Terms & Conditions to sustain our commercial and technical risk profile.- Being able to develop core capability assessment as well as team development grow plan.- Becoming principal owner and driver of transaction details related to technical, financial, and commercial inputs to support strategy development and risk management processes for custom controls upgrade projects.- Transforming customer outcomes into compelling value proposition, ensuring main company KPI´s are being consider as part of the commercial offer.- Contributing to individual deal strategies to drive/grow both price and proposal efficiency/hit rate.- Managing customer specification review, proposal development, contract development, and negotiations including equipment sales and service agreements.- Driving process control of Proposal development, risk reviews, commercial reviews, cycle commitments, and necessary approvals through Commercial Review Boards before submitting proposals to the customer.- Representing ITO in Lean & Quality initiatives to drive process rigor, NPS and other improvements to overall ITO process.- Driving implementation of Lessons Learn and Best Practices across commercial process.- Supporting achievement of ITO Team metrics related to orders, margins, proposal cycle, and quality.- Facilitating an environment where the ITO team can review customer purchase orders to ensure compliance with approved price levels, Commercial Terms & Conditions, PO Acceptance, and delivery cycle commitments etc., and ultimately a clean ITO to OTR Hand off to our project execution teams.**Fuel your passion****To be successful in this role you will have**:- Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical or automation)- Commercial experience developing/supporting customer contracts.- Experience in a capacity with direct reports and leading teams.- Be able to travel 10 to 15% of the time for short customer meetings and opportunity development.- Effective written and oral communication skills.- Strong knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.- Creative solution/problem solving and project management skills.- Strong business acumen and financial skills.- Demonstrate fluency level in Portuguese or Spanish and English.- Industry experience with power utilities, oil and gas, petrochemical, metals, chemicals, and/or pulp-n-paper markets.- Be active and legally licensed/ registered at the professional Engineering Council in your country.**Desired Characteristics**:- Experience in developing and writing proposals and/or specifications.- Experience in Execution functions, such as project management or services.- Experience in bid management processes and tools and price construction.**Work in a way that works for you**We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
