We are looking for a 5+ years experienced Data Privacy Specialist to help scale and sustain our Global Privacy and Data Protection Program. This role will help build upon our current privacy strategy strengthening our commitment towards Global Data Protection Laws & Regulations. This role will be responsible for
- Building, developing & maintaining our Global Privacy Information Management program
- Implementing, guiding & supporting all aspects of our global data protection compliance
- strategy
- Advising on matters surrounding data protection/privacy
- Supporting privacy operations
- Maintaining a proactive, robust, and trustworthy privacy program
**YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO**:
- Own and continuously review the global data protection compliance program including updating policies and guidance, centralizing processes and putting in place robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary
- Operationalize and administer key privacy initiatives (e.g. data inventories, records of processing activities, DPIAs)
- Develop and maintain relevant global internal data privacy policies, guidelines, notices and training.
- Partner with all key business areas, project teams and Information Security & Compliance team, to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new projects and initiatives
- Maintain privacy content for the internal intranet
- Respond to privacy questionnaires as part of Sales processes and maintain knowledge base
- Conduct vendor/supplier privacy risk assessments
- Handle enquiries and issues relating to data privacy practices, withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and related rights.
- Update privacy training content and help promote activities to foster privacy awareness
- Build a maintenance cycle to ensure privacy documentation is kept up to date
- Monitor the privacy landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, identify trends and implement best practices for data privacy & protection
- Work with project / global teams to ensure all relevant data privacy regulations are being complied with
- Ensure that systematic compliance audits are undertaken and that their findings are reported and acted upon.

**WHO YOU ARE**:
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and have great communication and writing skills.
- Ability to translate and communicate complex global privacy laws & regulations to technical & non-technical audiences
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and facilitation/presentation skills.
- Excellent written and spoken english
- You are able to figure out and manage the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished.
- You are a self-starter, eager to roll up your sleeves, and look for ways to make things better.
- You have the ability to execute against multiple assignments and projects and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Demonstrated privacy or compliance experience at least 5+ years;
- Relevant Privacy certifications - IAPP certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPM) an asset; or equivalent combination of education, privacy certifications and experience
- Experience with privacy management tools preferred
- Strong writing and analytical skills; project management skills an asset
- Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with teams and stakeholders in a global environment
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of privacy laws and regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PIPL, PDPO, PDPA etc. )
