About the Role

As an Engineering Manager at Clutch, you will lead and mentor a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a collaborative environment with product management, design, customer success, and implementation teams to define and prioritize impactful technical initiatives. You will drive Clutch’s technical vision and strategy, overseeing the architecture of scalable, secure solutions that align with our business goals. Committed to best practices in agile development, testing, and continuous delivery, you will also play a key role in recruiting and nurturing top engineering talent, managing resources, timelines, and team capacity to consistently deliver high-quality products.

You will be responsible for attracting and hiring top talent from tech community through Clutch\'s hiring process. Your main goal will be to lead the delivery of impactful product features and solutions, making a tangible difference for our users and the credit unions we serve.

What You’ll Do Within 3 months, you will:
  • Be fully onboarded to your new team, familiarizing yourself with Clutch’s tools, processes, and culture.
  • Build strong relationships with your team members, other Engineering Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to craft new architectural designs and leadership playbooks to guide engineering.
Within 6 months, you will:
  • Fully scoped on your working domain and now understand Clutch\'s businesses at their Core.
  • Have a clear vision of product roadmap and develop strategies to accomplish Product roadmap and engineering capabilities.
  • Be the owner of the Engineering Strategy and team ceremonies.
  • Start identifying opportunities to deliver faster, reliable solutions and make initial contributions to architectural improvements.
Within 9 months, you will:
  • Collaborate on crafting architectural designs and leadership playbooks that align with Clutch’s mission of delighting users.
  • Achieve a comprehensive understanding of Clutch’s ecosystem, connecting how different products integrate to create value.
  • Conduct career development deep dives with your team, setting personalized growth plans and fostering a supportive, high-performing environment.
  • Deliver a lot of new stuff to our products.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, preferably in a startup, SaaS or fintech environment.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Advanced English skills, both written and spoken, we are an American company and we work with distributed teams.
