Check out our TNC Talent playlist on YouTube on Glassdoor.**YOUR POSITION WITH TNC**:The Finance Analyst provides administrative finance/accounting support for a business unit, with focus on Accounts Payable and Treasury, but performing other tasks related to the Finance and Accounting areas.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:The Finance Analyst provides a variety of routine and non-routine finance and accounting-related tasks for Brazil business unit.

Duties

may include payment of invoices, preparation and processing of accounting forms such as journal entries, verifying the accuracy and coding of journal entry transactions, accounting adjustments, maintenance of A/P, accounting reconciliations, general ledger and vendor payments, and similar tasks. Examples of tasks may include analysis of payment requests for completeness according to internal BU rules, consultation with tax specialists prior to process payments, processing payments in the bank systems (offline system and bank portal), uploading payment processes to the accounting vendor portal, checking the bank balance weekly, monitoring cash flow, checking refunds to employees, training and guidance to staff on A/P processes and onboarding to new employees on payment processes etc.**RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE**:- Follow our Code of Conduct and demonstrate consistently our Values.- Ensures TNC policies and procedures are met.- Ensures proper overall A/P routine regarding to payments and bank related activities, including processing payments, reviewing support documents and checking tax information on invoices to be paid, as well as appropriate accounting and cost center allocation.- TNC has an occupational safety policy aimed to protect employees, partners and the communities where we work and serve. COVID-19 vaccine is a minimum requirement for all positions. Whenever applicable, as much as possible.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:- Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field and related work experience or equivalent combination.- Experience in database management or producing reports, or in the use of automated systems or touch key calculator.- Experience working with basic principles in accounting or in analyzing financial figures.**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**- Multi-lingual skills (English) and/or multi-cultural experience appreciated.- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in work product.- Good oral and written communication skills.- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.- Knowledge in advanced excel, ease of handling and creation of spreadsheets, pivot table, formulas.- Intermediate knowledge of withholding taxes and payroll charges.- Intermediate knowledge of accounting to reconcile accounts and prepare adjustments if necessary.- Ability to work well in a high-volume production environment.- Knowledge in foreign exchange operations.**WHAT WE BRING**:Since 1951, The Nature Conservancy has been doing work you can believe in protecting the lands and waters that all life depends on.
