Responsibilities
  • Launch, review, and assess new hire background check results, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Oversee the I-9 process to ensure compliance with USCIS standards and audit readiness
  • Ensure hiring practices comply with applicable laws and internal policies, implementing improvements as needed
  • Maintain a centralized library of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and accessible
  • Support internal investigations related to HR compliance matters, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, talent acquisition, risk, or a related HR function
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of background check processes
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and hiring regulations (e.g., FCRA, EEOC, USCIS)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
