- The right person will be technical and analytical, and will be capable of understanding the complexities of large financial services IT environments
- Must have 7-10 years of Financial Services business development, enterprise solution selling, or product development experience.
- Prior experience in the Capital Markets segment is highly desired, either as a vendor or as part of a financial institution.
- Prior experience working with either investment banks or funds management, stock exchanges, broker dealers.
- Basic understanding of the Financial Services regulatory environment (Central Banks, Agencies, Regulatory Bodies, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, including strategic partners and ISVs.
- Knowledge of concepts from enterprise IT is highly desired, including: database systems, tiered storage architectures, server and desktop virtualization, data center operations, network security, etc. with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to understand current and future customer needs and present AWS technical benefits.
- 5 years of experience in cloud projects/deployments.
- English is required
Job summary
Your responsibilities will include helping to drive top line revenue growth and overall end-customer adoption across Investment banks, stock exchanges, broker dealers. You will enable AWS Financial Services field teams across all sales segments in Brazil to drive more effectively their day-to-day interactions with key prospects and customers. You will work closely with AWS Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Security, and Compliance to develop and promote cloud best practices. You will work closely with the AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid enterprise adoption.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the Financial Services Specialist team for LATAM, helping to drive AWS sales, market development and technical strategies for the Financial Services Industry.
- Understand the unique technical requirements of financial services customers and work closely with the internal teams to guide the direction of our product offerings for our largest and most complex customers.
- Develop and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services to educate customers on how financial institutions can do business with confidence in the cloud.
- Create communication assets to drive awareness of AWS services and use cases for the Financial Services industry.
- Design, execute and manage mechanisms to drive scale in industry reach for the AWS Financial Services Industry.
- Create strategic business development plans for identified opportunities and ensure these plans are in line with the AWS strategic direction for this sub-region.
- Execute tactical business development plans while working closely with internal stakeholders including industry specialists, sales teams, solution architects, professional services and support teams, legal, Analyst Relations, and the AWS service teams.
- Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of the cloud computing market.
The position will be located in São Paulo, Brazil and travel will be required to support the business across the country.
- Keen understanding of the Financial Services industry, systems/solutions customers use, top workloads for moving to the cloud, and top solutions vendors or system integrators in the industry and their offerings.
- Strong leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, internationally and lead through influence in a data-driven fashion.
- An ability to identify and clearly articulate the IT benefits and the business benefits associated with moving insurance various systems to the cloud.
- Team player willing to work in an international environment and be part of a global team
- The right person will be analytical and data-driven, innovative and demonstrate balanced operations, strategy and planning, and execution skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to understand the operating styles of others as well as team relationships, team dynamics, and to adjust behavior accordingly to be successful. To work under different and quickly adapt to environmental or cultural nuances.
- Proven experience working in a matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders.
