The Quality Leader is responsible for the Quality Management System within the plant, compliance to IATF standards and customer requirements, handling internal quality issues and supporting the manufacturing processes with the action plan to continuous improvement. Responsible for the Metrology area, Chemical and Physical laboratories. Responsible for internal audits and leading the quality inspectors team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform as responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS): quality manual, procedures, work instructions, updates and continuous improvement activities.
- Review procedures and assists in the enforcement and monitoring of compliance towards quality and operational procedures and protocols to meet IATF16949 standards.
- Prepares and presents performance analysis, quality performance reports, and/or other information relative to the operational performance of quality.
- Representative during external quality audits.
- Responsible for action plans and follow up regarding non-conformities found during audits.
- Respond to non-conformance reports, tracking, monitoring and closure using problem solving methodology (8D, 5why, etc.). Drive root cause analysis and enforce implementation of proper corrective actions to meet quality requirements.
- Manage internal product audits to ensure that all core quality systems are implemented, and quality tools are being utilized.
- Troubleshooting the manufacturing processes to improve and correct quality issues.
- Utilize SPC and other statistical tools in the manufacturing area.
- Perform containment activities as needed for quality concerns.
- Plan activities for chemical and physical lab to attend all demand from different areas of the company.
- Organize all activities in Metrology area, ensuring the production release on time and in agreement with the control plan.
- Responsible to follow company responsible for devices calibration.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related fields
- Experience in quality areas
- Experience as Lead Auditor, IATF
- Experience with QMS (Quality Management System)
- Experience with problem solving techniques and continues improvement tools
- Six sigma certification, Lean production/CBS principles, methods and tools will be a plus
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
- Soft skills (team skills, conflict management, open-mindedness, networking, moderation and negotiation)
- Experience in working with international teams on quality topics
- English intermediate level
