Offer Description
Activities and context: The fellow will participate in the planning and execution of experiments involving: investigation of mitochondrial function and metabolism; analysis of mitochondrial DNA and expression of genes related to bioenergetics, dynamics, and mitochondrial quality; biochemical and molecular analyses of tissues; evaluation of the effects of photobiomodulation and different irradiation parameters; integration of behavioral, molecular, metabolic, and functional results to understand the mechanisms of light action on tissues.
Mandatory
requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in experimental research. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas: Biology and mitochondrial function; Cellular metabolism and bioenergetics; Mitochondrial DNA, gene expression, or mitochondrial genome integrity; Molecular biology and PCR/qPCR techniques, gene and protein expression analysis
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
