About Understory Understory is a specialized agency focused on paid media management and go-to-market engineering for B2B SaaS companies. We believe in deep channel expertise combined with cross-channel integration to drive measurable pipeline growth for our clients. Our paid search team manages millions in annual ad spend across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, delivering consistent results for companies looking to scale their demand generation efforts. Scope of Work As Paid Search Strategist, you will provide the following services: Client Paid Search Account Services General Paid Search Services Serve as the primary account manager for clients who engage Understory for paid search services Design and implement paid search strategies tailored to client needs Provide ongoing optimization and support for client accounts Campaign-Related Activities Manage regular optimizations of paid marketing campaigns Ensure proper tracking, attribution, and reporting for campaign performance Monitor lead quality and volume for client accounts Deliverables and Expectations Maintain 6-8 client accounts and optimize accounts based on client goals Provide weekly status updates on internal and client projects Respond to client requests within 12 business hours Deliver monthly performance reports and client relationship status reports Participate in client meetings as required Actively monitor account budgets to ensure correct pacing 40 hours of work expected per week (this is a full time position) Maintain documentation for account changes and budget pacing What We're Looking For Required Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns, preferably for B2B SaaS companies Proven track record managing significant monthly ad spend ($50k+ per month across accounts) Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads & Microsoft Ads platforms Experience with conversion tracking, attribution modeling, and performance measurement Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis Technical Skills Advanced understanding of paid search platforms including campaign types, bidding strategies, and optimization techniques Experience with all campaign types (Search, Display, Video, Demand Gen, etc.) Familiarity with tracking implementations, UTM parameters, and attribution methodologies Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance Experience with reporting tools and dashboard creation Soft Skills Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously Full professional English fluency (both written and spoken) Strong communication skills for internal collaboration and client updates Proactive problem-solving approach with ability to work independently Organized approach to campaign management and documentation Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities Bonus Qualifications Experience with B2B SaaS marketing funnels and pipeline attribution Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing automation tools Knowledge of Clay, Fibbler, or similar data enrichment and workflow automation tools Previous agency experience managing multiple client accounts Understanding of go-to-market strategies and demand generation What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Opportunity to work directly with Chris Chambers, our Head of Paid Search Access to cutting-edge tools and platforms for campaign management and optimization Collaborative team environment with growth opportunities Remote-first culture with flexible working arrangements Professional development budget for continued learning and certifications To apply please follow the link to the official application form to submit: Thank you
