• Own the data coverage of 30-50 companies
• Understand the workflow of Equity research analysts covering the sector and build data solutions and improvements targeting client needs
• Take ownership of the quality of our data making sure it is fit-for-purpose for clients
• Build and leverage deep expertise of the sector to drive Bloomberg’s sector-specific data strategy
• Make effective decisions in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships relating to the sector
• Proactively support customers by helping them interpret data and predicting their follow up questions/needs
• Train and mentor team members

The Company Financials team provides our clients with fast and accurate market-moving data, so they can stay on top of their game: broker estimates, financial filings, and any other dataset that is useful to understand financial performance in the markets. Our products run on intelligence and industry-specific insights provided by the industry teams. We combine financial modeling, industry expertise, data management, and technical skills to curate critical metrics and drive insights from our data.

• Cover a portfolio of companies within the Energy, Materials, Utilities, Financial Services and Real Estate sectors in Sao Paolo
• Work alongside research analysts in Bloomberg Intelligence and assist in building financial models, modeling company data, defining key metrics, and researching alternative data
• Create technical solutions to improve data quality and bring process efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, STEM or related field/equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience developing financial models using MS Excel/Python
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and industry analysis
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to clearly communicate business needs in both English
• Creative and flexible approach to problem solving, aided by strong data analysis skills
• Understanding of quality assurance and quality control from a data perspective
• Proven understanding of customer service and engagement

• Language skills: Portuguese and/or Spanish
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and demonstrated applied data analysis skills
• Work experience and knowledge around data management principles and technologies such as data modeling, data analysis and statistics to tell a narrative and/or generate data-driven insights
• Master’s degree in relevant field and/or CFA designation (or working towards it)
• Buy-or-sell side equity research experience
• Familiarity with analytics data and available industry statistics for sectors such as Energy, Materials, Utilities, Financial Services and Real Estate
• Experience or knowledge in Bloomberg Company Financials products, Bloomberg terminal fluency, and/or Bloomberg data workflows
• Experience manipulating and wrangling large datasets
• Experience profiling datasets and coming up with necessary requirements
