Working as a core member of our team in Brazil, you will conduct Marine Warranty Surveys (MWS) on vessels and floating structures for our clients in the offshore Oil and Gas sectors.

What will you be doing?
  • Undertake MWS surveys for clients on offshore installation vessels with a focus on loadout, transportation and lifting operations.
  • Undertake offshore or shore-side attendances as required by client needs.
  • Produce reports on surveys for clients and ensure that they receive them in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a billable utilisation on client assignments of 60%.
  • Coordinate inspection attendance for other surveyors and consultants.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the Quality & HSE aspects within your department and projects.
  • Promote QHSE related activities within all operations and ensure compliance with all applicable company QHSE policies, procedures, work systems and regulations.
What are we looking for?

You could be a Master Mariner (STCW II/2) or Chief Engineer (STCW III/3) who has served on offshore vessels, or possess a degree in a relevant engineering subject. You do not need to have sailed as a Master or Chief, but you must possess the relevant qualification, or have held a relevant shore-based engineering job. More specifically, we are looking for the following:

  • Minimum 7 years' worth of relevant experience, which could include time at sea and working in a related shore-based position.
  • Knowledge of offshore lifting, transportation and loadout operations.
  • Knowledge of offshore mooring and subsea installations of flexible and rigid lines.
  • Experience of conducting marine surveys and working within a consultancy environment is advantageous.
  • Able to produce accurate reports against set deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.
Further Information

This position will be based at our office in Rio de Janeiro.

You must have the right to live and work in Brazil.

The job holder will be expected to undertake offshore and shore-based attendances at short notice.
