Graduate HR Generalist – AMER Canonical is a leading open source software provider. Our flagship platform Ubuntu powers public cloud, data science, AI and IoT initiatives for global enterprises. Location: Remote – AMER region Responsibilities Provide HR support to team members, answering questions about employment, contracts, onboarding, benefits, and general inquiries. Maintain HRIS data accuracy and timeliness for all member changes and new hires. Own and drive global HR projects such as engagement, training, and culture initiatives. Partner with managers and employees to support HR processes and advance people strategy. Process new hires, including country‑specific onboarding documentation, file creation, system set‑up, and introductory reviews. Support benefits enrollment and payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate data. Coordinate with payroll to guarantee smooth salary payments and create internal purchase orders. Conduct regular audits of employment files and systems to maintain GDPR compliance. Continuously improve HR processes and identify opportunities for enhancement. Qualifications Exceptional academic record in high school and graduate studies. Internship experience in an HR or People team, preferably in technology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong prioritization, time‑management, and ability to work under pressure. Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, with a focus on accuracy. High integrity and ability to handle confidential data. Adaptable, flexible, and open to change. Initiative‑driven with a willingness to offer suggestions for continuous improvement. Ambition to grow an HR career. Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
