Storage Management Engineer (Net App)Location:Brasília, BrazilJob Type:Full-Time, Onsite ResidencyLanguage:English & Portuguese fluency preferredAbout the RoleWe are seeking aStorage Management Engineer (SME)for an onsiteResidency Programin Brasília, Brazil, to support a leading customer usingNet App technologies. This is afixed-price, full-time residency role, focused on delivering proactive and reactive operational support, system monitoring, diagnostics, and technical advisement to help the customer maximize the value of their Net App storage infrastructure.As a resident engineer, you’ll act as the customer’s trusted advisor on all things Net App – performing upgrades, monitoring system health, coordinating with global support, and optimizing operations in real time.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support Net App Data ONTAP® systems and firmwarePerform storage monitoring using Net App tools (e.g., Operations Manager)Handle hardware diagnostics and part replacement coordinationWork directly with Net App Global Support Center (GSC) for escalationsDocument the Net App environment and changes performedProvide proactive service management including:Software/hardware release planningBug and patch analysisDisaster recovery (DR) supportData migration and archival planningParticipate in change management and customer status meetingsProvide weekly written reports and act as the customer’s advocate within Net AppAssist with automation through scripting (as needed)Analyze Auto Support™ diagnostic data and provide trend reportsRequirementsProven experience withNet App storage technologiesand toolsHands-on expertise withNet App ONTAPand system upgradesFamiliarity withNet App hardware, diagnostics, and part replacementsExperience coordinating with support teams (GSC or similar)Knowledge of disaster recovery, data migration, and backup strategiesStrong documentation and reporting skillsAbility to work independently and manage customer relationshipsFluent inEnglish and PortugueseNice to HaveNet App certifications (NCDA, NCIE)Experience in scripting (Power Shell, Python, or others)Previous residency or onsite support experienceKnowledge of third-party systems in hybrid storage environmentsLanguageEnglish (Required)
