Wellhub is a corporate wellness platform that connects employees to partners for fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition, and sleep, all included in one subscription. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in NYC, Wellhub has a growing global team in 11 countries. This role is part of the Marketing Analytics Platform team and focuses on enabling and maximizing marketing efforts through technology and product integrations.

Overview

Position: Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Marketing Analytics Platform team, Brazil — Remote within the country.

Team mission: to uncover growth opportunities through analysis, optimize traffic to B2B and B2C sign-up/purchase conversions, and provide data-driven capabilities by integrating marketing and product data to create a unified view. The team develops data products such as a Customer Data Platform (CDP) and data pipelines to enable marketing campaigns, attribution, and analytics insights.

Responsibilities
  • Follow and advocate for best coding practices according to guidelines and handbooks.
  • Keep code simple and proactively manage and raise awareness of technical debts.
  • Document solutions and lead RFCs and PRDs.
  • Coordinate post-launch deliveries, lead incident resolution and post-mortems.
  • Own at least one service and be proficient in the team's systems and tech stack.
  • Drive for simplicity and clarity in software architecture to avoid unnecessary complexity.
  • Foster wellbeing in the team and contribute to a supportive work environment emphasizing work-life balance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical professional with passion for software and product development; strong ownership over delivered products.
  • Proactive, innovative, data-driven, and able to make decisions based on facts and data.
  • Expertise in one or more: Java, Kotlin, or Golang (Golang preferred as the team’s main language).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ) and understanding of their use cases and pitfalls.
  • Knowledge of DDD, SOLID, Design Patterns, distributed systems, and microservice pitfalls.
  • Experience implementing prototypes and practices like MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for production rollout.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese (technical and non-technical stakeholders).
