As a Quality Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be a valued member of the life sciences team and work collaboratively with a dynamic and inclusive team within the environment at Cognizant.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure overall software quality and reliability, forming the foundation of the QA process.
  • Implement CI/CD practices using Jenkins and Maven to streamline the development lifecycle and enable faster, more reliable software delivery.
  • Automate testing with Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance test coverage across platforms.
  • Oversee API testing with RestAssured and Tosca to validate backend functionality and ensure seamless integration between services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and promote agile problem-solving while ensuring alignment across development, QA, and domain-specific teams.
Work model

Hybrid (Possibility of remote work for professionals outside São Paulo). Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in São Paulo. Regardless of your working arrangement, we support a healthy work-life balance through our wellbeing programs.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
  • English level: Advanced
  • Strong technical skills in Playwright, Jenkins, Cypress, TypeScript, and Selenium.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and PL/SQL for test development.
  • Experience with RestAssured, Tosca, and HP ALM (essential).
  • Familiarity with R&D Preclinical and Clinical domains is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins and Maven.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and provide insights.
