As a Quality Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be a valued member of the life sciences team and work collaboratively with a dynamic and inclusive team within the environment at Cognizant.
Responsibilities- Developing and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies ensuring overall software quality and reliability, forming the foundation of the QA process.
- Implementing CI/CD practices using Jenkins and Maven, streamlining the development lifecycle for faster and more reliable software delivery.
- Automating testing with Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance test coverage across platforms.
- Overseeing API testing with RestAssured and Tosca to validate backend functionality and ensure seamless integration between services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve defects, promoting agile problem-solving and alignment across development, QA, and domain-specific teams.
Work model: hybrid (Possibility of remote work for professionals outside São Paulo). This role requires 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in São Paulo. We support work-life balance through wellbeing programs.
What you need to have to be considered- English level: Advanced
- Possess strong technical skills in Playwright, Jenkins, Cypress, TypeScript, and Selenium.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and PL/SQL for test development.
- Experience with RestAssured, Tosca, and HP ALM is essential.
- Familiarity with R&D Preclinical and Clinical domains is a plus.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins and Maven.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and provide insights.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products.
