- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree on Engineering (Electrical), Engineering (Electronic and Communication), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical).
- Fresh Grad / Entry Level specializing in Engineering - Industrial or equivalent.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Safety Engineer we seek shall;
- Carry out inspections of workplaces and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance.
- Respond to and investigates concerns and complaints from workers/employers and takes appropriate action.
- Investigate accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace.
- Be responsible for the establishment of, and monitors the performance of, workplace safety and health committees.
- Participate in the delivery of related educational programs and disseminates information to the public.
- Assist in the training and/or supervision of new Inspectors.
- Perform prescribed industrial hygiene surveys using technical equipment, evaluates results, and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance.
- Prepare various reports, documents and forms.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of any Engineering course
- Preferably with 1-2 years experience
- Know how to conduct risk assessment to identify potential hazard and implement measures to address safety issues
- Know the OSH standards and guidelines
- Trained with BOSH
- Know how to conduct Safety Audit
- Effective communicator (written and verbal)
