Overview

The General Manager – Latin America & Canada is responsible for leadership, planning, development, and oversight of all commercial activities to meet region revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. The role leads a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve revenue targets while selling a premium product line in a complex selling environment. This position operates in a matrixed organization and provides strategic leadership across functions in Latin America & Canada to ensure optimal performance. The role reports to the Vice President / GM Commercial Operations, Americas and is part of the Americas Commercial Leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed growth plans for Latin America and Canada for new and existing business accounts.
  • Oversee the performance of the commercial organization in Latin America and Canada, including coaching, development, and ongoing feedback for professional growth.
  • Create and execute actionable strategies for the commercial teams based on sales data analytics and market insights.
  • Understand and utilize key market dynamics to develop and close sales in hospitals, labs, and health systems.
  • Drive physician demand and adoption of new diagnostic methods.
  • Negotiate contracts from single hospitals to health systems.
Essential requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of experience; Master's/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing people.
  • Expertise selling premium products.
  • Strong track record of success in both capital equipment and reagent sales.
  • Experience using a CRM application such as Salesforce.com.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
  • Experience working in Brazil and across Latin America.
  • Travel willingness to support regional activities as needed.
Travel, Driver's License & Environment
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
