Procurement Strategist

Procurement Specialist Role OverviewJob Title: We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to oversee the entire contract lifecycle with 3PLs. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting market research, selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, implementing and renewing agreements. This role requires strong negotiation skills, in-depth knowledge of 3PL operations, supply chain management, and analytical capabilities. Duties and Responsibilities: Contract Management : Oversee the entire contract lifecycle with 3PLs from initial market research to vendor selection, negotiation, implementation, and renewal. Negotiation and Communication : Conduct high-level negotiations to establish favorable commercial terms, SLAs, performance metrics, and contractual conditions. Market Research and Analysis : Perform continuous market research to identify trends and innovations in the logistics and labor sector. Supplier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners. Cost Optimization : Analyze expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels. Risk Mitigation : Assess risks associated with contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with internal teams to align procurement strategies with the company's objectives. Performance Management : Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate 3PL performance. Compliance Assurance : Ensure that all contracts and operations are in full compliance with labor laws and industry regulations. Requirements: Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. Experience : Proven experience in procurement and contract management. Skills and Qualifications: Negotiation Skills : Strong negotiation skills. Risk Management : Experience in evaluating and mitigating contractual risks. Data Analysis : Analytical capabilities to interpret data and create cost models. Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
