Accounting & Tax Manager

What you will do in this role Lead the Brazilian accounting team, covering hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, development, and engagement. Ensure timely, accurate daily accounting – vendor bills, invoicing, payments, cash – while remaining hands‑on in entries, reconciliations, and close tasks. Complete month‑end close activities on schedule and in line with global standards, including review of balance‑sheet accounts such as bank, payroll, fixed assets, accruals, deferred costs, taxes, AP and AR. Assist senior accountants with record reviews, reconciliations, and clearing open items; support preparation of financial statements, tax declarations, monthly reports, and cooperate with tax advisors. Serve as the key contact for the local finance team, handling escalations and providing guidance on complex issues. Drive financial and accounting projects at a team level, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with group policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an active CRC; Master’s or MBA is a plus. Excellent experience with accounting in a multinational setting, including proven team management. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, international environment. Proficiency in ERP finance applications; advanced Excel skills required. Fluency in English and Portuguese. Other Information Workplace location – hybrid model: If you live in Curitiba and the metropolitan region, you will work a few days in our office at Universe Life Square and from home.
