You will be responsible forWe are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering squad within the Device Management Platform (DMP), the global platform responsible for automating, securing, and tracking the entire device lifecycle for more than 10,000 Nubankers across five countries. This is a strategic and technical leadership role that combines deep engineering understanding, operational excellence, and people management. You will lead a distributed team of engineers responsible for large‑scale backend systems, automations, and integrations that ensure Nubank’s devices are secure, compliant, and reliable throughout their lifecycle. We’re looking for someone who can balance technical depth, delivery discipline, and people leadership, someone comfortable discussing architectural decisions while building strong, high‑performing teams. Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans. Oversee architecture, design, and evolution of distributed backend services, APIs, and automations integrating platforms like MDMs, microservices architectures, Inventory Systems‑IT, and internal business support systems. Ensure systems are secure, observable, resilient, and cost‑efficient , with clear documentation and monitoring. Partner with adjacent teams to deliver cross‑domain initiatives and reduce friction across the device lifecycle. Drive audit‑readiness and governance by transforming manual workflows into automated, measurable controls. Requirements10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years managing technical teams, preferably multicultural teams. Strong background in software architecture, distributed systems, and platform integrations. Experience leading multicultural, distributed teams across time zones. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills (technical + non‑technical). Fluent English (Portuguese or Spanish a plus).
